Lily Pebbles & Anna from The Anna Edit blog partnered up last Thursday with the charity: Look Good Feel Better and Liberty to organise a free event to where you can meet them and to help raise money for the amazing charity. Having lost my sister a year ago to cancer I had to participate and at the same time meet two of my favourite bloggers/ You Tubers.
After a hard day at work me and my little bump managed to get through the ever busy Oxford Street to reach one of my favourite places in London: Liberty. The event started at 6pm and I pretty much arrived with 20 minutes to spare and as usual I spent that time trying all lipsticks available at all the beauty stands and have half my harm covered in swatches, but you know how it is, you can't go to Liberty and not spend most of your time in the beauty department, as a proper beauty/lifestyle blogger that would be a crime. The event pretty much started bang on 6 pm, a DJ was pumping out some good tunes, Prosecco and fruity cocktail drinks in mason jars started to flow and then Lily & Anna appeared, from it seems, nowhere and to my surprise very kindly invited me to chat with them. The best thing ever was that they actually remembered me from when I first met them randomly a year ago at Taste of London, (you can see my post: here). These two were lovely, they congratulated me about my pregnancy and we chatted for a good 10 minutes about my Chanel lippy I was wearing, London life in general and that they do hope to see me bringing my little one on the next event they'll organise when she'll be born, laughing that she might be the next big You Tuber or Blogger out there... who knows? After that I left them to chat with all the other ladies there to see them as the queue was growing rather rapidly.
As if meeting Lily & Anna wasn't enough we also got pampered with a facial massage, tarot reading and having our make up done, and all those treatments were offered at a very affordable price that went directly to the charity!
Well I couldn't leave Liberty without spending some dollars and giving generously to the Look Good Feel Better charity. So I did my duty and got my Liberty purple bag filled with few skincare products and spend a large amount of my time speaking of one of the lady's from the Look Good Feel Better charity. If you don't know this organisation they offer practical and very effective free care to women of all ages suffering from the visible effects of cancer by just offering them with make up lessons and skincare treatments etc. which has been proved to help these ladies gain their confidence and to gain a sense of control helping to fight back the illness that drastically changes their lives. I feel more and more strongly close to this charity, not only because I lost one of my younger sibling to this illness but being a beauty blogger I do know that putting on nice make up or just having a little routine skincare in the evening can bright up a bad day or just make you feel a tiny bit better.
I would like to thank Look Good Feel Better and Lily Pebbles & Anna to have organised this great little event, I honestly had a lovely time and felt even more in love with the blogging world and the little change we can sometimes bring to whose in need.
