About a year ago it was the 1st year anniversary of my blog and one of my resolutions was to put myself out there a little bit more, and by that I meant to post pictures of my face really. I have to admit it didn't really happen... until now. Lately I went for a little shopping trip with my boyfriend, I got few new jumpers etc. and I thought perhaps it was the occasion to take the camera out of the house, get my personal photographer/Boyfriend and go out to our favourite local park in London and do an 'outfit' shoot, really to show off the few little items I bought and for once to have my face in front of the camera and not behind it. I have no intention to pretend that I know a lot about fashion but still I hope my outfit does not scream 'outrage!'
You may wonder why I've waited so long to put my face out there, well the main reason is because of my weight and the worry of getting criticism especially from people who do not know my background and my past eating disorder. I have not always been overweight, in fact have been more of a 'healthy' size than overweight, but lately this is the size I am and right now it is o.k. I lost weight early this year but stopped my diet when I found out about my pregnancy. You might not be able to see it but under that mustardy jumper is an almost 6 month pregnancy bump!
To go back to my first ever outfit shoot, I went for an obvious Autumnal look mixing autumnal colours, knit wear and featuring my latest rucksack by River island (detail of all my clothes, if you re interested, is at the end of this post). My outfit shoot was rather early in the morning when only dog walkers and joggers were brave enough to go for a walk or run. The morning was misty, the air slightly crisp and the atmosphere was serene and quiet. The autumnal colours were gorgeous and I just though it was the perfect time for that autumnal outfit.
