I am a huge Star Wars fan since I was a very young kid (yes I am that old!) so for me to visit Hollywood Studio Park in Florida was a dream come true.
If you are not familiar with the Hollywood Studio part, just know that the park is divided into 8 parts: Star Wars Galaxy Edge, Toy Story Land, Animation Courtyard (Star Wars Launch Bay, Wlat Disney Present, etc), Echo Lake (Indiana Jones, Star Tours, Vacation Fun, etc), Sunset Boulevard, Commissary Lane, Hollywood Boulevard (Mickey & Minnie's Runaway Railway, etc) & Grand Avenue (Mupet Vision, etc). and as you can imagine one of the first things we did was to go straight to the Star Wars Galaxy Edge.
I wish someone could I filmed me as I was literally jumping for joy like a kid in a sweet shop. Years of wanting to see this park and finally the day came.
The first impression I had from Star Wars Galaxy Edge its how real it looks like I was literally somewhere on a galaxy planet, everything was carefully thought about it from every detail including small things such as manholes, street lights, floor detail such as different aliens, or robot footprints. everything was carefully thought about it and everything was literally perfect. If it wasn't for the hundred of tourists, including us, walking around wearing what tourists wear in any Disney park the Star Wars Galaxy edge would have felt totally real. Just totally amazing. I mean just look at all the pictures below which can speak for themselves.
The main
attraction is Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance, and it's an experience like no
other. You'll be taken on a journey that puts you in the middle of a battle
between the Resistance and the First Order, and you'll feel like you're part of
the action. The ride is a combination of animatronics, special effects, and
immersive storytelling, and it's an experience you won't forget. It was absolutely insane and I never experience something that felt so real at some point I felt like grabbing a lightsaber or else and be part of the battle. It was literally that insane and I cannot wait for the day I go back and re-experience this.
The
other attraction, Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run, puts you in the cockpit of
the famous ship and tasks you with completing a smuggling mission. You'll get
to control the ship and feel the rumble of the engine as you fly through space.
The attention to detail in the cockpit is amazing, and you'll feel like you're
really flying the Millennium Falcon.
The
park also has a variety of shops and restaurants, all with a Star Wars twist.
You can buy lightsabers, droids, and other merchandise ( My upcoming Star Wars Galaxy Edge haul soon in your galaxy near you !), and you can even build
your own lightsaber at Savi's Workshop. The restaurants serve Star Wars-themed
food and drinks, and the Blue Milk is a must-try...I tried it twice so you know it's good I even had to purchase the souvenir cup which i'll introduce soon to you in my Sar Wars haul.
Overall, Star Wars Galaxy's Edge is a must-visit for any Star Wars fan. The attention to detail, immersive experiences, and fun attractions make it a one-of-a-kind experience. Whether you're a die-hard fan just like me and my husband or just a casual viewer.
Thanks for reading.
