Tetbury Weekend away at The Snooty Fox

Wednesday, 1 May 2024 Tetbury GL8, UK

Tetbury is an idyllic Cotswold town with honey-colored stone buildings, antique shops, and plenty of old-world charm. It makes for the perfect weekend getaway from city life. My husband and I recently stayed at the Snooty Fox, a stunning hotel located right in the heart of this delightful town.

From the moment we arrived, the staff welcomed us with warm hospitality. The décor was tasteful with upscale furnishings, fresh flowers, and luxury linens. After settling in, I headed down to the Snooty Fox's popular restaurant for a cheeky Afternoon Tea featuring freshly made scones, a selection of mini sandwicthes along with a seection of pattiserie.  Two thumbs up expecialy for teh freshly bake scones and the macarrons.

The next morning, we awoke refreshed and headed down to the art deco dining area for breakfast. The morning sun streamed in through their windows as I enjoyed Egg benedicte muffin with smoked salmon and a tasty Oat lattee just how I like it. My husband decided for the English brefast option which did not desapointed him.

After breakfast, we spent the day wandering around Tetbury, popping into the many antique stores, boutiques, and cafés. The Snooty Fox is located right near the center of town, making it easy to explore everything on foot.

That evening we decided to stop at the local Italian restaurant which once again was not a disapointment. Freshly ingredients, friendly staff what is more to ask.

On the next morning for breakfast I chooses the French Toast with maple syrup and my husband chooses the stack of panacke with greek yogurt and cherry puree. Once again it was excellent. For that evening the menu highlighted local ingredients and everything I tried was fresh and flavorful. I started with a seafood salad topped with a delicious tangy dressing. For my main, I had the Ceasard salad with extra bacon and cheese because why not as for my husband he went for the Ale and beef pie with seasoned vegetable as his main as for his starter he went for the soup of teh day which was a carrot and coriander soup with freshly made rolls.

I couldn't have been happier with my stay. The Snooty Fox offers luxurious accommodations, incredible food, and service with a personal touch, all in the ideal Cotswold location. It's the perfect home base for taking in everything this charming town has to offer. I'm already looking forward to planning my next visit!
